Prayers sent from here too, Daniel. Tough thing to have happen. Especially during Christmas.

My sister Angela passed on this morning before Dad & I could get there.  Dad & I shared tears in the car on our way to Angela's house to be with her till the funeral home came to get her.  I didn't tell Dad till I got him in the car, as I was afraid his legs might give out with the news.  He took it way better than I feared, but when we got their & seen her, it was tough, and I do mean tough!  I'm still fighting back tears as I type this, but in my heart I know she is in a better place than we and she doesn't have to suffer any longer.  Over 4 years is a long long time to fight such a battle, but she no longer has to fight.

Thanks guys (and Lorna) for your continued support.  You are all awesome!

Sorry to hear she passed before you got there, Daniel. But you are right, she is in a better place and no longer hurting! May you all find peace in that.

So sorry to hear of your loss

Sometimes I wish I had wisdom beyond my years
And had the ability to stop others hurt and dry their tears
But sadly to be born into this world means we all must eventually die
For life is finite from our last breath back to our very first cry
Be strong in your faith and know that others are silently praying
For you and your family at this sad time when you don’t feel like playing
The game of life with its rules that sometimes can seem so unkind
Remember the good times and keep them stored in your heart and your mind

Sorry for your loss Dan'l.

I always wish I had magic words that would instantly bring peace and comfort at times like this. Sadly, I am not a magician.
I can say this.....
Praying for strength and wisdom for you in this difficult time.

Our deepest condolences for you and family Dan,l. In particular for the uphill battle you have had lately. Strongly suggest you might get another opinion regarding your neck. Chris had an ACDF-3-4(anterior cervical discectomy and fusion of vertebra 3 and 4 in June. It was pinching her spinal cord and she could have been paralyzed if she fell or hit her head wrong. That being done she will have ACDF 567 in the next few weeks. This will'be followed in three months.with a surgery from the back side to complete the operation. She too suffers numbness and pain witch goes all the way down to'the leg. That will be followed by a lumbar surgery late next year. Her diagnosis was spinal stenosis. Aside from that we are already looking forward to 2018 plowdays.

Mike, my spinal cord isn't being pinched this time, as I could see from the DVD even before the surgeon gave me more insight, but rather my discs are touching the cord causing my shoulder pain.  The cord has room for now, but they did say if anything changes, then surgery will likely be the only option.  At least if I do have frontal surgery with fusion, the posterior surgery is already done.  How is Chris doing?  I hope very well.

One thing good about my having to sooner or later leave Southern States....I will have plenty of time for a plow day event!

Luckily I don't have leg pain associated with my neck, but I do trip easily, and my balance is not what it was before all this.  They tell me this is from the permanent damage that happened before my surgery.
