My day off work, so putting up ceiling metal.  The area for the 2 post lift is now complete.  I'll finish the lower end of ceiling before starting lift installation though.  Likely get some of the lower part completed this afternoon.

It'll be AM for me.  Work that Friday, so I'll likely need to rest up.

Just in case I can't make the Keck-Gonnerman plow day near Evansville.....will you be attending that one?  If you plan to, would you be able to take a plow from Liberty to the Evansville plow day?  I have member Skullbone's plow he could use that day, but no idea yet if I could make it.

I got a lot done on my shop ceiling.  I would have gotten it finished, but Dad stopped for a visit, so things stalled a couple hours.  I didn't have enough 6" thick insulation to finish the last 2 cross-runs, but I had some white backed 3 1/2" and made do with it.

Having some extra days off from work has allowed me to get so much done around here.  When I only had partial weekends off, I was too tired and/or achy to do much.

Just 2 more metal sheets and ceiling will be done.  I'll finish it this weekend, then start clearing things out to bring the 2 post lift in.

Brothers Richard and David Wingo (Skullbone) were asking if you would be coming to Evansville.  They enjoyed meeting you & hoped to see you & your wife there.  David had a stroke about the time I had surgery and has difficulty talking at times, but he's doing well.  It hasn't affected his GT and plowing hobby!

I am already committed locally for that day. Plus I'll have cataract surgery on Oct. 3'rd  I don't expect any problems but I don't want to make any long distance plans at that time.

I appreciate you wondering about me! :D              Rick

Sorry you can't come Rick, but I understand and hope the surgery goes slick.  That surgery is so easy these days with almost 100% great results.

Went to Munfordville this morning for a few groceries at the Amish salvage grocery, then this afternoon I finally finished the shop ceiling.

20160924_1459411.jpg

Carried out a few items no longer needed, like the wooden sawhorses, and pieces of cutoff tin.  Need to do lots more, but the heat index is 95, and we had a hot day yesterday spreading fertilizer with a weak AC in the truck, then we had to shut the AC off to help the truck run cooler.  So I'm not in the mood to get hot today.  The spreader truck's radiator needs to come out to be properly cleaned.  It's not been done right in years most likely.  Can't just pressure wash it, as the hydraulic cooler and AC condenser is in the way.

This evening I'll haul out a pile of GT parts from the shop and put away so I'll have room to bring in the 2-post lift through the wide door.

Getting somewhere, but don't have a 3/4 masonry bit like I thought I did, so trip to town coming soon.

Looks great! I've had the best luck with Ryobi masonry bits, they drill fast and clean, but don't last too long. 12-20 holes, max, but that's usually more than I ever need.
