Enjoy your Day Daniel. The soul needs some R&R too.

And my neck, sciatic pinch, etc.  I'll likely do a little mowing today, but have to wait till dew is 100% gone.  Actually, getting some of this field mowing done is good for my soul, as it takes another thing off my mind.

:mad2:  :wallbanging: &%$!!@_)^.............Went to text Teresa to go on to town, as I was going to be mowing a while.  Reached for my 2 month old phone, and only the case clip was hooked to my belt.  It broke free, and the ONLY place I opened the door of the cab was where I wiped the pollen off the windshield.  Drove the Kubota down there with Teresa's phone and no ringing at all, and no bits or pieces found either.

Looks like I'm down $250, plus the time & trouble to buy a new phone & go to AT&T to get a new sim card for my account.  Almost ready to go back to my old flip phone that fits in my pocket safely.

:mad2:  :wallbanging:  :shoot2:  :(  :oh_shucks:  :ah_shoot:

There are others doing exactly that, I have a smart phone but it is small enough to fit in my pocket. I have a silicone hard case on it so it won't  slip out when I bend over.

I still have my old Tracfone, and it even still has active time & minutes on it.  Have it charging now.  At least I have something till I decide what to do.  Just drove back down to the field, and can't find anything, but it must be down there.  It was on my belt for sure, as when I entered the field, I hooked up my seat belt and had to adjust the clip to clear the phone.

Hey, I have an idea.
If you get a few head of cattle, you won't have to maintain the fields as much

I may be renting out the pasture next year, so then I don't have to do either! My job at Southern States is more important to a living than anything right now, so I gotta make things simple.  Besides, all the back 40 has cattle on it, and it too needs mowing.  No idea when I'll get to that!

Wow has this day been a bad one!  Went back out & got most of the hill mowed directly behind my house, then the driveshaft retaining bolt at the center gearbox decided to part ways with me, much like my cell phone earlier.  It boogered the gearbox shaft some, but I got the shaft back on, and now to find a 1/2" high grade bolt long enough.  Teresa went to town for a few things and is picking me up a new cheap Tracfone to serve while I decide what I'm gonna do long term cell phone wise.  My old Tracfone won't work anymore due to changes at Tracfone, even though I had paid service through mid 2017.  They sent me a notice that they would send me a new phone free a while back, but I never received it.  Cell phones can be a life saver, but they're also a PITA!

Losing your phone is such a hassle.

I haven't lost one yet, broken quite a few. With the Verizon insurance it's always been $99.00. unless you have an iPhone.

Might look inside the tractor. Might have fallen off in there!

First thing I did was scour the tractor.  Then used Teresa's cell to keep calling it while checking tractor, then all over the field where I wiped the windshield, which was the only time I opened the cab door.  No ring-a-ding, and no signs of parts of the phone either.  I'd say a tire ran it over & pushed into the thick cuttings.  I even drove all over the next section of field, shutting engine off & calling it, and no signs, nor sounds.  I'd been happier to just find the phone even if ruined if I could have saved the SD card & SIM card so I'd have all my contact numbers.

Some good news finally.  I seem to have 2 google accounts, and was checking the wrong one for all my cell phone numbers.  I found the right account, so I have all my contacts safe & sound!   :dancingbanana:

A buddy of mine here @ work sat his cell down on his newspapers then 4got bout it later in the day, rolled up his papers and threw them into the scrapbox then I changed the scrap into the furnace. Pretty sure it's a Ford or Chevy today.
