A lot to work through, but we'll make it. Going out there in a bit to check on them.

Daniel, when you made the post about your mom and the constipation issue, my heart dropped and then when you made the post about her cancer diagnosis, I had a flash back to when Kim was diagnosed with intestinal cancer. I feel for you brother! Have they given any treatment options or do you have to wait for the Dr visit? Hopefully there is something that they can do for her.

Sorry to hear this news!

If you need to talk, you have my number.

No options, as she doesn't have the strength to even make it through any surgery.  They said just anesthesia may be more than she could handle. At least she's lived a long long life thus far.  Mom will be 91 on the 14th, just 8 days away.

Thank you Robert, thank you ALL.

Prayers from my family Daniel, Venting on here is good therapy and I'm sure alot of members have gone through similar things and understand what you are feeling. I lost my Dad 18 years ago on Easter Sunday and my Mom 6 years ago last month to cancer, never an easy thing, I'm sure your friends and family will make it easier.

Saddened by you recent news, chapters in our lives close wether we want or are prepared. 91 God bless her. It never easy to say goodbye to our loved ones. Have witnessed and been part of sudden unexpected death ( father) and slowly slipping away ( grandfather and Father in law ) both tough, will pray for her quality of life , and her loved ones the strength to deal with the days ahead.

Daniel I am so sorry that I didn't get to open this yesterday and express my condolences.
I learned a couple years ago that our parents are not immortal and yours was one of the shoulders that I leaned on.
Please give your Mom a hug from us as she kind of feels like family from all the stories we've heard .
It is good to hear that your dad is feeling better after his chest pains, but it's going to be a tough row to hoe for him too.

Have they given you any sort of itinerary as to what to expect and when?

There was no time-frame given to us, but they hooked us up with Hospice right away, and are coming tomorrow to do registration paperwork.  That means they don't expect her to last all that long.  Hospice only works within a 6 month expectation of passing, but Mom eats little, so we don't expect her to last even close to that long....maybe weeks, but we really have no idea.

I may have caught Dad's cold, as my throat is itchy, sinus stopped up, and running a low grade fever...real low, but it's there.  When I go out there I'll need to wear a cotton mask.  Craig gave me a bunch of them, so I have plenty.  Don't want Mom catching it.

My sis Wanda is a gem.  She is staying with Mom each day, going home in the evenings while Mom is still doing pretty good.  Wanda usually does good to care for herself, but it's like she's reinvented herself and doing super taking care of them.

Mom is still acting normal pretty much, and is well aware of her circumstances.  Dad isn't taking it nearly as well, but he's ok most of the time.  When I see Dad break....I break.  For him to cry, he's hurting like you can't believe.  It's hard for me to even talk about it, and even typing the words is hard.  It's gonna get harder.   I sure do appreciate your support, and I value it believe me.  I am hoping she is still with us come plow day so she can come sit and watch a while, but there are no guarantees.
