Our old farm cat (we just call her momma kitty) asked to come in this morning.  From time to time, she comes in for extended visits.  When she's had her fill of socializing, she goes to the door & asks out.  If we get the predicted snow, she may not ask to go back out!  :smilewink:

Seems the animals know when it will get bad out!

It's blowing snow!  Drifts already almost 2' deep in places and it's just getting started!

Still have to go out & feed silage, but don't look forward to it.  Snow is blowing horizontally most of the time.  And now my house furnace is acting up.  It seems the high limit isn't resetting as flame cuts off and blower just keeps running.  I can shut off the thermostat, instantly turning it back on and it starts a new heat cycle immediately.

Hope that furnace straightenes out!

It's doing ok, but every now & then I have to reset it.  I just hope the power doesn't go out!  I don't relish the thought of having to deal with a generator in this weather.

Stay warm and be careful in that snow!

We were supposed to get a bunch, but they cut totals in half and its staying farther south, I may not get any :rocker2:  :dancingbanana:

Drove through 2 to 3 foot deep drifts feeding. I brought the silage up the hill to the wagon as I'd have had problems with the tractor pulling up the hill. Took 4 times longer to feed and could barely see for the snow blowing in my eyes. Warming up the shop to paint later.

Took a lot longer feeding. I brought the silage up the hill to the feed wagon with the payloader as I figured I'd spin out trying to get up it with the tractor & wagon. Drifts up to 3'+ deep and rising! Visibility has dropped to less than 1/8th mile at times.  My heater blower has quit in the loader, so I doubt I'll be clearing any roadway for the neighborhood this year.

Getting nastier by the minute!  At least the house furnace is doing alright at the moment.

We're even supposed to get some snow down here.  Nothing like you all are getting although they say in the N GA mountains they could get about 6 - 10" with ICE as well.  Be safe out there.

It's nuts out! The whole walk from house to shop went over the top of my 17 inch tall boots, and boots still a good 4 inches from the ground due to snowpack.

State blade truck just went down the road too!  I never dreamed they'd get as far as our road today.  Hats off to them!

No idea how much snow we've gotten due to the drifting, but at least 8 to 10" and lots more to come yet!

They changed ours from 8 to 12 to less than 4". I have to drive to a remote location tomorrow and I hope that's true. Lots of ups and downs on that road with lots of turns.

About 12"  snow so far, best guess, with 3 to 5" more expected in my area.  Gonna be a long day clearing the drives tomorrow.  There are drifts up to 6 feet deep!  Most of the open driveways are almost 2' deep, with areas close to buildings being 3 to 4' deep.
