Doing that roof didn't sound like much of a job, but doing it tells the story. Glad you have an easier day ahead of you!

Guess the bending over and having a fat heavy head was a bit of work for my neck to handle, but glad I got the most of it done.  My neck and shoulders aren't gonna improve if I baby them, but then I don't wanna ride a bucking bronc either!  It's been tough adjusting to things following surgery and my surgery was simple enough.  I certainly have a better appreciation for those that battle through really severe physical life challenges.

Yeah, you gotta push a little to strengthen up. In a way, it's good you are doing a lot of different things. Repetive work is not good for you!

Hunched over putting in 100s of screws will make any man sore! Gotta pace yourself a bit. Plus the cold probably didn't help either.

Take it easy today. Just think how good that hot tub will feel when you go on your trip!

Been feeding rolled hay.  Working the soreness out nicely.  Going to unload the mineral from my truck and put some out for the heifers.  Thought I'd take a nap, but doubt I will now.  Beautiful out, and the next 3 days are gonna be cold, so getting outdoor stuff done today.

8F with chill of -4 this morning, but tractor & loader started and got heifers fed.  The Massey 1130 on the feed wagon protested a bit, but went ahead and fired up.  It really needs a higher wattage block heater.  It was direct plugged instead of through a timer and still just barely does the job.  Shop heater worked fine during the night after locking out again yesterday.  I cleaned the burner head yesterday and maybe that was the cause.  Didn't look that bad, but a few fins were clogged up.

Likely just piddle in the shop a while today on Hogzilla.  Too cold to get into much else.

Working in the shop today on Hogzilla.  Steve came by & picked up his truck I put brakes in.  He's been really busy delivering contracted grain, so I told him to wait till he got caught up (or if he needed it) to come get it.   He wanted to know if I'd be interested in putting his little John Deere 40 back together for him.  He had the engine rebuilt some time ago and never has had the time to put things back together.  He said the way it was all apart that I'd likely need to do it in his shop (heated).  He had to get going, so he said we'd talk later about that.  He's also mentioned my going through his Polaris 4 wheeler that's been sitting a couple years.

Could be, but I want to take the seasonal job with Southern States to pump some cash into things while I see how raising heifers for Brad works out.  If I can continue raising heifers for him at enough profit, starting a real repair business alongside would work well together.  That would also have me near home for when Mom & Dad need things.  This entire year will be a test session so to speak.

A lot has to do with discovering what the "new me" will be comfortable doing as the nerves all continue to heal.  At this point I know I can't lift what I used to, and some things tax me quite a bit.  I'm doing pretty good by what the Dr's tell me, plus I can tell things are improving.  Not taken or needed a pain pill in quite a few days.  The stretching exercises have really helped.

We are supposed to get less than an inch. But Friday Saturday I have heard anywhere from an inch to a foot!
