You'll find something to perk you interest in Gatlinburg.  It is a neat place to visit and lots to do.  Trailer your bike and take it to ride.  That alone will be a great experience!  Also be sure to see Cades Cove, not sure the spelling is correct.

Riding my bike the end of January doesn't sound good!  I planned to see Cades Cove.  May ride the bike down there this summer after the Co-op job winds down.

Never did ride my bike this year after putting on new tires & battery.  My shoulders are just getting to where I'd feel comfortable/safe riding it, and now it's too cool to enjoy it.  Next year should be a whole different story.    Never had the pleasure of a hot tub either, so I'm sure I'll enjoy that!  My brother has one & says it's wonderful for sore joints & muscles.

Above all, you and Teresa enjoy yourselves! You may come back and be putting one of those tubs in the corner of the shop!

I know a lot of people who make trips down there. Everyone speaks highly of it. I bet you'll find more there to interest you than you think.

Google Earth shows me everything there, and yes, lots of interesting places.  Looks like I might eat myself to death with all the great places to dine.  I am excited to get down there, so REALLY hoping we don't get a big snowstorm about that time.  If so, it'll be a long slow drive, as I AM going no matter what!  :D

Somehow, I get an image of a tractor running down I65........

Honestly, it'll be a lot of fun, there are plenty of "guy" things down there, too.

That's my problem when we take trips like that. I eat till I'm about to explode. We are real close to Dover ohio. They call it "Amish country" they have a Amish buffet. Fried chicken and all the fixings you'd expect. I always eat till I'm about to explode.

Ate at an Amish buffet at the I64 exit to Evansville, IN. Left way too full! Out today wrapping up some financial stuff and last minute shopping. No more going to town till after Christmas.

I've been moving farm tractors around so I could move my sandblast cabinet down to the old shop from the now parking garage.  Finally got the cabinet and my dust collection system in place.  I also used the old Hough payloader to lift the old waste oil tank down to the new shop to pump off the oil in it into the newer tank.  I have about 250 gallons of waste oil for heat now, which the heater only uses 1 gallon per hour.  In the insulated new shop, even in the coldest of weather it will only have to run half the time.  This will get me through the entire winter easily.  I was going to place the old tank outside to put any excess oil into if I had it, but once I lifted it out of the old shop, it began to leak slightly where the forks were against the underside of the tank.  So it's scrap metal.

Was going to do some more moving around of shop related items, but the Cat 910 loader lost it's V-belt on the engine.  Only one belt, so no alternator or water pump movement.  I could get by with charging the battery, as the loader doesn't run long enough to barely get warm, but most places will be closed a couple days starting tomorrow, so going after it this morning.  May have strong storms tonight, but hope we're spared any wind damage.
