That's quite the jig-saw puzzle you guys have there! Hey Craig! Glad you got to come down and dirty up the new workshop!

The thumb Hurts but it's healing thanks guys. I am glad to be working on the farm once again for sure, especially in the new shop! But got to tell ya 20 yrs up in a crane has sure made me a bit lazy and full of sweat lol, that haybine kicked my butt! Had a great time though working with Grandpa and Daniel and cousin Josh.Hard work and a lot of fun. Now its time for supper and a couple pain killers, then a drink!

I took the discbine out again & broke open the alfalfa field, then turned around & cut the outside swath. I plan to put someone else in it tomorrow while I try to spray around with "kill everything spray" where things should NOT be growing. It's easy to hang a fence while doing the outside of a hayfield, so I figured I'd take that risk out of the equation. Discbine is working SUPER! Once I opened the field, I was gonna call it a day, but I found Teresa push mowing the yard around the house, and I heard that little engine bogging down, so I finished mowing with the John Deere 430. Just got in from a 13hr day. Got a LOT done though, so tomorrow I hope to not have to push it so hard. Might be a while before I feel up to it, so tomorrow evening I'll take Teresa out for supper somewhere. I can eat till midnight, so surely I'll have the time to take her out!

Been cutting hay today, but the lift cylinder hose blew on the discbine, and I didn't have the needed fittings to rig on a hose. So I told Josh just to finish cutting, as he can cut without the lift, as the cutter will go right through already cut hay to get out of the field. I was gonna have Craig cut some, but I think he felt better with Josh doing it since the hose was blown. Craig is taking fence wire down from around the former dry cow field. I went to town & got the Sudex seed that one of them will drill into the dry field once the hay is up. I may not get my spraying of weed killer done today, as time is ticking away.

Sounds like you have been busy getting everything caught up best you can before tomorrow. I just got caught up on your thread, been a week since I last read anything on here.
You need to rest all you can today so tomorrow your not so worn out.

As Josh finished cutting hay, I took the other Massey 2745 out to Dad's & got the seed drill. Cleaned out old wheat seed, then filled with Sudex (sorghum/Sudan grass cross). I made 3 passes around the 8 acre field, then Craig took over so Teresa & I can go out for a nice meal before surgery tomorrow. Craig has taken down a lot of fence wire today, and I know he's tired. We should all sleep well tonight! I sure will hate not being able to work for a while. I got as much as I possibly could done beforehand.
