Never seen an OSHA inspector, but seen an MSHA inspector write a violation on our grinder in the mine shop. He went in and seen the shelf a few inches away, and a hole through the top of the guard. The day before a guy was grinding, the metal sucked into the grinder, went down into the guard around the wheel, then shot straight up, through the guard and into the ceiling. We were all "turtling" as it fell. We all had hard hats on, but geez it was a freaky sound.

LOL Sorry

You're going to need some of that good ol' Kentucky moonshine as an activator!!

Did that back in '09 putting siding on our barn, little different though- smashed my thumb with a 16oz hammer.

I don't drink much, couple Advil and some ice usually does it for me.

Bet you said more than "gosh, darn that hurts" I don't know why "!!#**&!##! " helps, but it does. The only time I swear is when I hurt myself.

Old cow hand, Got al your corn in? Surprised no one around here has started planting yet. Did see a guy with a digger in the field yesterday. It rained a little over night & is supposed to get in the high 60's rest of the week. Seed would have taked good under those conditions.

I have been away for a while so hope you are feeling well.

:D   Al

Specialist said that I reattached the end of my thumb correctly, and it looks like it will take, and I get to keep it. :dancingbanana:

Got up & out at 7am.  I got the man door trimmed out & tucked in tight.  Started raining, so caulking will have to wait for a bright sunny day.  Bolted down the tire changer & the grinder/drill table pushed into place.  Need to run power wire to this table this afternoon.  It will go up to the ceiling, then over to the wall and down to outlet.  The wire will hang by hooks so the table can be moved if need be.

My family must just be hard on thumbs.  Nothing near what baumbaum did to his, but the other day I ripped the meat loose on the right side of this thumbnail, then today I smacked the same thumb with a hammer, leaving a blood blister on the other side of the thumbnail!
