Dad is there for advice, but I've made all the decisions myself so far, but of course letting Josh & Dad know everything as I learn what to do.  Mood is good today.  Dad came down & we discussed running the power to the shop & some other stuff.

I got the manual Coats tire changer & the frame of the grinder/vice/drill table painted today.  Guess what color?   :rolling:

Hey uncle I Went rounds with my grinder today, grinder won. The pic is after the ER reattached the top of my thumb back. Grinding metal when it caught between shelf & stone taking my thumb with it. It cut right through the middle of my thumb nail shattered the end of my bone, I put my thumb back together & David took me to ER. They think it can be saved cuz it still had a bit of skin hanging on. C specialist tomorrow morningtmp_20150429_130200-1016138875.jpg tmp_20150429_112024-852358772.jpg

Never seen an OSHA inspector, but seen an MSHA inspector write a violation on our grinder in the mine shop.  He went in and seen the shelf a few inches away, and a hole through the top of the guard.  The day before a guy was grinding, the metal sucked into the grinder, went down into the guard around the wheel, then shot straight up, through the guard and into the ceiling.  We were all "turtling" as it fell.  We all had hard hats on, but geez it was a freaky sound.

I had the shelf 1/8th inch away from the stone. But not close enough lol. Uncle Willie, called the wife and told her to pick me up a new set of clippers.
