Sorry to hear about this Daniel, maybe it just took out the transformer in your computer.

You maybe spinning that big of hole saw too fast and burning the teeth up. Also even though you are drilling upside down, us as much lube as you can to help protect the saw.

Motherboard is gone. Power supply working and fans all come on but nothing else. When I replace it, I'll go wireless for internet. If they ever get the fiber optics finished, then I figure it can't come in on the phone line.

Dang it! Always something going haywire. I hope you had a good backup set! Glad nothing else got hit with that.

Too much lightning to put cows in holding pen. Not gonna be an easy day. Rain is pouring. I did get silage loaded before heavy rains and lightning then parked under roof.

Great news...lightning just took out my computer and router. Phone line brought it in. No land line phone or tv service. Not sure if anything else got whacked yet. Saw fire fly at my router cables. Went off like an M-80. Insurance deductible too high to help.

Oh just great!

Parlor stuff seems fine. Apparently all the strike came into the phone lines. Not checked my 4in1 scanner/fax yet. 1 grand deductible so I lose it all. May go past $500

No, it never ends and yes, another round of storms to come later in the day. Maybe the rains will wash the floods away. May dig out an old computer to get by with. I think I got an old one fixed a long time back. But I have this smartphone that slides into a 7" pad. I can internet pretty decent with this.

I take it you didn't have your phone lines going through a voltage protector or UPS.  I know some of them advertise that they will pay up to certain amounts if your equipment is damaged due to lighting but I don't know how good there word is.  Sorry to hear about more problems, hope the day gets better.

You need to see about a whole house surge protector.

I worked for a security Co. for many year and we spent thousands on lighting prevention. But when it's a direct hit to a phone line or electric line all we ever got was melted equipment. Surges yes, lighting no!

You need to see about a whole house surge protector.

The last time I had TWO whole house systems in place....same result...blown everything! Waste of money.
