I'm not resting well either. I think it's the weather mostly for me

Likely the weather here too with front after front rolling through and no arthritis meds now. Bleak weather for so long without any sunshine.
Hope you get feeling better soon brother!

I'm not resting well either. I think it's the weather mostly for me. I'm tired of the cold gray wet winter. Maybe if we would have got a snow or 2, it would be better but this rain every day and it being in the low to mid 30s is really getting old. I hope you can rest some today and get to feeling better.

Me not resting well has been the wife snoring next too me. Her head/chest cold make her snore no matter what position she sleeps in :(

Craig has everything roughed in nice for me.  I have to install the lights as I put up the ceiling, but the wires are up there waiting for me, tested each line & all ready for light fixtures.  Once I get another roll of 12/2 wire, then I'll slide it along with 10/2 through the 3/4 conduit to the breaker panel.  The 12/2 will serve the lights & plugs in the open shed end where we park equipment.  The 10/2 will power the air compressor (whatever an air compressor is  :smilewink:) .  But a smaller air compressor is already in the shed, powered by a 220V wire to another building that has been the only power to this building.  Once I get the 10/2 installed, I'll jumper over to this live wire to back-feed power to my panel until I can get the new service wire buried.  That way I can go ahead & use all the newly installed light switches & plugs.  Once all is done, we'll move our larger compressor up here, and the smaller one will go to the old shop.

I don't know how you are making it without arthritis meds. Today is the first day it was warm enough that I wasn't in agony all day long.

I didn't do even close to what you did and I'm hurting too. Had problems getting to sleep from shoulder pain with both arms tingling from shoulders to fingertips. Still hurts this morning and I'm only allowed one Tylenol per day. :-(

Daniel, keep the loader plugged in. I hear you folks are going to get more snow your way soon. We'll get ice pellets tomorrow as it heads East.

Bring it on....No way to stop it anyway. It does make things harder, but it is what it is.

Been a tough morning.  Cull cows gave me fits separating them, mostly because of the nutty new heifer that I'm getting shed of.  She'll kick you to oblivion and she's had over a month to settle down & she hasn't the least little bit.  Then as I was 2/3 finished milking, I heard a heifer bawling.  She was calving & a very large calf for her.  Texted Josh & he like me thought the heifer was good & down, but when he went out there with the puller, she jumped up & took off like a deer back to the field.  He brought all the heifers up so she'd mix right in.  Got her separated & into the trim chuts.  I was elbow deep getting the pulling chains on the calf's feet, but we got it pulled & for now both Momma & calf are doing well.  I'll be taking off the cull cows in a few minutes once I get them loaded.  I had to plug a cattle trailer tire yesterday.  Had a 1& 1/2" sheet metal screw in it.  No rain yet, so it'll make the trip easier & safer.

No issues at all hauling the cull cows to market.  When I got there though, nobody was there except another farmer who dropped off his cattle & called one of the guys who said he'd come number them & send him a receipt.   My regular guy, Barry, is out of commision with a hip replacement.  There were supposed to be 2 guys there, but they never showed for work.  I just glued numbers on my cows, made out my receipt & wrote down which stall I put them in.  Then I called the guy & told him, but he was almost there, so I waited for him.  He looked at the receipt I made out & asked if I wanted a job!  :bigrofl:

Stopped by Lowes for more 12/2 wire & a few small items & headed home.  My day improved from this morning.  Now to do some wiring, then check fluid levels in the Cat 910 loader, as they are calling for up to 12" or more snow here starting tomorrow.  The Cat will be busy.
