Daniel... about the courtesy lights. Does your vehicle have switches in the door handle mechanism? Had a car once that the interior light kept staying on. Finally figured out it was those door switches... Just a suggestion. Hope the issue with your arms/hands can be resolved easily. Wishing you the best on that.

Since it is pulling when the lights come on I would check to see if something is feeding back thru the antilock system.

No, it's not pulling.  I meant if I intentionally turn to the left, then the lights go out.

Get inside and lean on the door and then pull on the door.  [all of them]  I bet the contact switch isn't being pushed quite enough.

Sounds like its on the drivers side since the to-the-left jolt makes the light go out.  If the switch is not adjustable, put a glob of J.B. Weld on the head of it where it makes contact.  OR  you can put a few layers of tape on the spot the switch contacts.

I've had that happen before.

Lazy day.  Awoke to sprinkling rain.  So before starting milking I unloaded my truck load of corn.  No shelling today, as it's been cloudy after the morning sprinkles, then after lunch it started a light rain & windy.  Plain old nasty out.  I could have done some other things out of the rain, but I needed a rest, so took a nap after milking this morning.

Just one longer day, or 2 at the most and shelling will be done anyway, so no big rush.  After the corn is finished, then it'll be time to spread the poo when the fields are good & dry.

Gotta milk tonight, but off the clock tomorrow, and not likely to do much besides rest.  Well, I do have a new fridge fan to install, and I may tinker with the Jeep dome light issue.

Get some good rest, Daniel. Those naps sure do feel good some days!

Had a spell when I went to milk.  Head felt full of pressure & felt like I'd pass out.  Took several minutes for it to really go away.  Since milking, I've checked my blood pressure(great at 127/78), fingertip oxygen sensor (good at 97%), and checked my blood sugar (not bad at 116).  I don't know what's going on, but it's unnerving.  I will be so glad to see the doc next Wednesday.  This hit me when I shouted at the cows loudly so they could hear me over the grain bin fans.  Maybe the pinched nerve????

Feel ok this morning, but blood sugar is higher than it should be at 145, so gotta lay off chocolate, which I know is the issue.  It was great when younger to just be able to do what you wanted, and all was fine.......then it hits ya when ya get older!  Been hacking a lot more lately, lots due to dusty corn harvest, but the smokes are taking a toll.  Usually smoke almost 2 packs/day, but last 2 days down to 1 pack, then yesterday 13 ciggs, and feel much better and much less coughing.  Smoking ultimately has to go!

Gonna get down to 25F tonight, so gotta check everything that could freeze.  My small spray rig has to be drained & antifreeze pumped through it.  Gonna put the new fridge fan in today.  Besides that, may not do much.

Slept in this morning and it felt goooood!

Nice that you are feeling better today, Daniel! Glad to hear you are trying to reduce the cigarettes. I'm sure it is hard to do. Wishing you the best on that.
