Went ahead & shelled a 3rd load, as I had plenty of time before milking.  Looks like we'll have a few thousand bushels more than we'll be buying back from the mill in our complete feed.  So hoping price of corn rebounds, as I could make a lot more off the leftover grain.

At least you can leave it in the bin til the prices come back up. I am happy to hear how well the hoist is working out for you, you needed a few things to work well lately.

About a foot of the end of a straw walker broke off today. I found it on the next round. Corn still looks as clean, so I'm forging on till something stops me!  We only do milking on Sunday, so Monday I'm back in the combine.  Just finished milking, so I'm off the clock for 35 hours.

Finding a piece of broken straw walker isn't too bad... them things are too long anyway!! At least it was big enough to see and you didn't have to pry it out of the head! Hope your day goes well tomorrow. Enjoy your time "off the clock"!!

Shelled one truck load of corn this morning.  May get a couple after lunch, but other things to get done as well, so we'll see.

The Jeep Cherokee has been screwing up a little again, so after narrowing it down pretty much to the ECM, I ordered a reman just a minute ago.  $175 to my door & comes pre-flashed for my Jeep so it's "plug & play", or so they say.

You & me both Brian!!!!!  If it doesn't, gonna be shopping for a newer vehicle soon.  If it fixes it, then I'll get the headliner repaired & drive it a while longer, and keep my eyes peeled for a good deal.  She's got 212,000 miles on it, but then many of these go 400 grand.  Paint wise she looks great still, just the bumper covers cloudy.

Shelled about 1700 bushels corn today, and if rain holds off till afternoon tomorrow, then I'll run a load in the morning.  This (5,000bu) will be all I want to put in this bin.  Once rain is clear, I'll move the auger to the other 7,000bu bin.  Ran yesterday & today without even a single issue!
