If that was a car, lemon laws would force the manufacturer to buy it back! It has to be a tough process, trying to balance the constant maintenance on older equipment against the chance of getting a crappy new one like yours, I don't envy you one bit. I will say, we appreciate our milk around here!

No holidays here, so Monday it's back to the field if dry enough after the rains coming.  The lots needed scraping & stalls bedded with fresh sawdust, so I just finished scraping & bedding 64 stalls so Monday can be all chopping hopefully.

Tomorrow is my day off, and I'm taking it!  I will be going by TSC to get a roll of #50 & #60 roller chain though, just to have on hand, but trips to TSC are fine on days off.  :smilewink:   Seems there was something else I needed from there, but I'm drawing a blank right now........oh yeah, a universal joint to redo my F935's drive shaft.

We never seem to get a day off on the farm just because it is an officially designated holiday either.  Cows need to be milked Christmas day and hay must be cut when weather permits, "holiday" or not.

I would rather go to the dentist for a root canal than go to the local (6 miles)TSC store. It would sure be a nice place for a good farm store and right next to Wal Mart too.

Could use a whole sale firing and that includes the managers that ALLOW such shiftlessness and know nothing attitude.

They opened a new one (20 miles) that I have been to more times in the last year than the local one in 10 years. There is an even better one that is 35 miles away where you can buy a lot of antique tractor parts. 38" Massey Harris spin out rims for a 333 are hard to find used let along new like that TSC store got.I really miss the old Quality Farm Fleet store we had, Ours did a booming bussness.

Managers can make all the difference, that's for sure. TSC is an hour trip for me. Rural King is 15 minutes, but I prefer the one that is an hour away. Farm and Fleet is 15 minutes, but I prefer going to two others that are an hour trip. Don't know if it's true in all cases, but in my opinion the stores in "farm country" are better managed.

This TSC store is the one I quit going to a few years back.  The lady manager was NO lady!  Rude, crude, and sour attitude.  I left this store until she did.  Got word from a good source that the brand new store she left to open up........she got caught stealing thousands from the kitty!   At least now my store is a nice place to shop, and the people there now actually seem to like to help you.

By the way....I just now woke up!  Slept 11-1/2 hours.

Yes it does Jesse....yes it does!  My body needed it badly.  I woke up around my normal time, but I voted that idea down right away!  :smilewink:

Working hard is a good thing, but working hard without results you can see is tough.  My main thing is this chopping being pushed back is gonna put me in a bind getting things ready for plow day.  For me it's VERY important that everyone has a great day plowing & socializing.  Next year I think I'll have to push plow day back into October to be sure I have the time needed.
