I wish it too Bill. We got maybe a tenth.  Last night proved fruitless also.  Still chances the next few days.  The tenth pulled all the twist out of the corn.  I really don't think we'll have any nitrate issues in our silage, but the tonnage will be way down per acre.  We'll have corn left for grain, but it's all guess work at this point on bushels per acre.....low for sure.

It will be what it'll be, and my whining & complaining doesn't change a thing.  So today is my day off &I'll put all the worries aside.  Teresa & I are going to Bardstown in a little while to visit Boon's Butcher Shop.  They make a great chicken salad I wanna pick up, and likely some pork chops, and who knows what else.  A little shopping at stores we almost never go to, then back home for maybe some GT time.

Happy birthday. Have fun.

Not my Birthday, but good as, being I do have the day off.  Did some shopping, and I went to their TSC over there.  Got some ratchet straps, new metal shear scissors, etc.  Nothing major, but I should have picked up a new battery.  Tried finding spark plugs for a CCKB Onan, but nobody had them in their books or computer, and I forgot to write the number down.  Even Brian (TD&H) tried getting me the number, but his NAPA store was tied up too much to look it up (thanks for trying buddy!).  We got a fine lunch, went to the butcher shop, then I just came on home, as I can get them another day.  Heck, the air is too thick to wanna do anything out right now anyway.

FINALLY GOT LUCKY! :dancingbanana:  :dancingbanana:  :dancingbanana:  :dancingbanana:  Just got here, heading ENE.  Already measurable rain, and more to come!  This will definitely finish the silage corn, and maybe even what grain it can make at this point.

Daniel,

Your spark plugs should be  R8C or RH8C Champion, or B4L NGK, or 427 Autolite,  .025 gap

A while ago we had 6/10" in the gauge.  I'd expect there is between 3/4 & 1" now, and a good steady rain still.
