Forgot to mention, the concrete groover guy came by for a look & gave me an estimate.  Will get it grooved as soon as he can get to us.

The milk SCC test shows as an official health dept test on my online page, but the number of SCC isn't posted yet.  That's not fair!  It's killing me!

And tonight I was looking over the bred heifers, and we had one in the back field VERY close to calving.  There were 2 others heavy with calf too, so we moved these 3 with the dry cows tonight.  That makes 4 heifers really close to calving, and 3 look promising to be good milkers.  We've been waiting for these heifers to start dropping calves, but they've been taking their sweet time.  We have these 4 heifers, and 2 dry cows soon to be in the milk line.  Good thing, cause we're down to 35 milking....1/2 where we need to be.

Yes, tilting the right way, but I keep getting nasty surprises, so we'll have to wait & see.

FINALLY........SCC number is in....official health department test score is........450,000.  Top limit is 750,000.  If we can get 2 more tests below 750,000, then we'll be off the "intent to suspend" list!

Now we're by no means out of the woods yet, but we're definitely heading towards greener pastures.

Milked this morning, then dehorned, gave shots, & sprayed all my weaned heifers for flies.  Then I mixed 7 bags of Quickcrete to finish filling a busted spot in our feed alley.  Came in for lunch.  Getting ready to go out to work and got a text from Teresa.  She had to run to town, and the Jeep, which has been doing VERY good the last couple months or so is up to it's old ways.  Dying, stumbling....the same old crap.  That's all I need right now!  Just hope she gets home ok.

At least it isn't a Toyota that would run off at high speed.
