Sorry to hear that Daniel. Too bad about the 175. Those older MF 165 and 175 tractors always look better built and stronger to me than anything else out there. I hope the insurance comes through for you and you can move on quickly with a new building or whatever setup meets your current needs.

Wow. Sorry to hear about the fire. Time to put the old Massey in the yard and plant flowers around her.

I just left one corner post, as the AC line comes in at that post.  If we rebuild here, we'll have power for saws, etc.  Pretty worn out with no sleep.  I got the manure scraper off the 175 so we can put it on the Super 90 for now.  I used the Cat payloader to pull the 175 up the hill & out of the way.  Dad went on home soon after coming down.  I already had all milking chores & feeding done and was working on the building walls when he got here.  I didn't wake Josh even, as I just felt like working alone.

The old 175 is not likely to be rebuilt, even though it could be.  Just not money smart to do.  Here's some pics.

It's all a downer for sure, but in the end it's all just stuff, and with 2 sisters with cancer, & Dad just started getting past cancer surgery too, well....it's just stuff.

I can feel your frustration all the way down here, Daniel! It hasn't been a good year all around for you thus far! Maybe we need to have a GTTalk barn raisin'. I'd be willing to come help out, just getting there is the biggest issue!

Got no nap yet.  Mom & Dad came back down while I was eating a bite of lunch, and just now left.  Been a long day.  I'll just stay awake till after chore time & call it a day early.  Likely I'll be asleep by 6pm.

I'm not even sure how much $ insurance we had on this building, but I'm thinking 15 grand.  We are mulling over what to do.  We have to build something back to get a dime.  Too many people have been burning insured buildings down to get quick cash, so I understand why they are doing this now.  I don't want another hay barn after this.  I'd rather have some hay losses from weathering.

If it will work with Farm Bureau, we may extend out the big shed & make a new shop in the end of it.  This would use 12' of the existing shed, and extend it 24' to make the total shop area 36 x 40.  I would leave my metal working tools where they are now & have this new shop just for wrenching.  I'm trying to turn this lemon into a peach if I possibly can.  The insurance won't finish the shop, but it would do the bulk.  Just have to talk with my claims agent to see what we can do.  My head just hurts at this point.

Thanks for the support guys.....just another example why GTtalk is the best damned site on the net!  Please pardon my French.

Oh, and Dad even agreed with my new shop idea.

Thanks Scott, I'm gonna try.  People keep stopping by (they mean well), so not gotten any rest yet.  Just finished feeding, so maybe in a bit I can chill enough to sleep.
