Just the leftover tiredness, and some congestion. Hearing in my left ear is still muffled, but it'll come back.

Forgot to include, but I also dried off 5 cows this morning.  To dry them off, you inject medicines to stave off infections into each teat & massage up into the udder.  Then I have to separate them from the herd as I let the cows out of the parlor.

Nothing like giving a good teat massage!

ok the 5 year old is out of my system now.

I never thought dairy cows were so much work.  Always seemed like such a good gig.  Get cows, get milk, profit.  Seems hardly the case.

Seems like get cows, fight with cows, Doctor the cows, fight with the cows some more, milk the cows, birth cows, chase cows, spray poop, get sprayed by poop, and not enough profit.

Yep, you summed it up quite well.  Gotta take my last paperwork to the tax office to see how bad it actually was this past year.  I think we'll show a loss of over 10 grand.

Yes, shop time with a GT would sure be nice!  In fact, if things work out, I may spend some time in the shop with a Hog Saturday!    Needing the mental therapy!

Cows dropped off at the stock market.  Had to wait a half hour for someone to show up.  There were 3 of us with cattle waiting.  The tires on my trailer have all been going bad, one by one.  I have put 3 good used ones on it, but still had one of the last set still on it.  It was up fine when I got there, but when I went to leave I saw it was nearly flat.  Luckily it got me home without coming apart.  I had 2 good used tires that came off my Jeep, so I changed the flat tire out, and put a good spare tire on another rim.  Southern States is bringing me more pine chips here in a few minutes.  Gotta go get the loader so I can push the bales into the barn.

Rest of the day so far...started scraping manure from the lots while I waited for delivery of the pine chip bales.  He came, so I got Josh to finish scraping while we got the 180 bales of pine off the truck.  Used the KISS method and just pushed the 8' tall pallet stacks over onto the concrete pad.  Then simply use the Cat loader to push them under roof.  Then I spread 30 bales worth in the 90 stalls, one bale per 3 stalls.  Last time they were in more need, & it took one bale per stall.  Just finished that a few minutes ago, and I have about 15 minutes before heading to milk the cows.  After that, I'm OFF THE CLOCK till Sunday 5am!

I am off the farm clock!  :dancingbanana:   We know now why the pressure switch on the well burnt.  The bladder tank has a broken bladder, so once it uses up the air in the top of the tank, it cycles on/off almost constantly.  The tank is up at Josh's house, and he's gonna add air daily till we can get a new tank, which likely will be Monday earliest.  The only place that stocks them around here is closed Saturday.

Yep, always something breaking around here.

Not doing anything much today but to simply rest up.  GT's can wait till I feel more up to it. I am way past the worst of the flu, but it's left me tired, so rest is just what I need.  Gonna clean up my Lenovo computer as Monday I will have a new hard drive for it, so that will likely be the hardest thing I do today.  :smilewink:
