Hello all,

I am trying to figure out exactly what Carburetor is supposed to be on my G14!?

I purchased it from someone and it has an LMH-4 (Walbro) and I am not so sure that is the one that is supposed to be on it from what I have been told.

If anyone has a G14, could you please post what Carb you have (make/model)?

Thanks,
Shaun

is there a problem with it ? i personally dont like fixed jet carbs because if there is any defects in the carb you cant adjust it also the as the engine warms up it requires less fuel to run but there was probably a method behind the madness back in the 70s i dont know for sure if my carb is origonal and ALOT can happen over 40 years
cheers

and that is the correct carb for the engine tech - walbro wisconsin zenith/ walbro briggs was briggs carbs and kolher was kohler as well i have heard of people using adjustable kohler carbs on the Tecumseh engines

Yeah...it is just flat out not running...but my O' rings in the carb are all worn and weathered...it's leaking gas...I think I will just get a rebuild kit and put in all new...if that doesn't work, I guess get a different carb.

Thanks for your knowledge!!

If your choke is not set up right on the carb it will be very hard to start. when the choke is in the closed position meaning full, make sure it is closed. there is notches in the butterfly linkage so when it's in the full position it should be closed completely, hope this helps. You should put a rebuild kit for sure.

Update...running just fine now...I rebuilt the carb...however I found that my float had a pinhole in it causing it to get weighed down with gas...drilled hole bigger...got out all of the gas and then soldered the hole...works just fine!!

Thanks to all that posted!
