Anybody got a source for the Hydro cooling fan that goes on the drive shaft?
It's for a Massey MF14 or MF16, it's a plastic fan and looks like this but with one more blade on it.

Thanks in advance.

Not a clue, Doug.

But if it's any comfort, the one on my 1655 was so busted up that I removed it permanently 16 years ago. It did a lot of summertime heavy work after that with no overheating issues.

Normal operating temp is 140 - 160*, high normal is 170 - 190*, and overheated is 200+*. Sundstrand rated their performance charts at 180* F.

Thanks for trying Bob just thought that now is the time to do something about it.
I think I'll be just putting it back on unless someone else comes up with one.

Wrong rotation. The blades are tipped the opposite direction.

you still can get the fan throw snapper for the 1650 ( the dealer wanted $110 bucks ). i cut the fans off mine, keeping the center part. i bought a metal fan for a pressure washer at princess auto and screwed the center part to it. had to file the fins just a little but it work perfect

I made a fan blade out of 1/16 plate.I copied the old one onto a piece of cardboard [ just kept rotating it to the good blades] and then using a jigsaw with metal blade.Cut it out then had to twist the blades to the proper angle and drilled the right size hole in the center and welded the blade onto a pulley hub [the weld on pulley hubs] its been working good since approx 10 yrs now. The original got broke one winter when my snow blower lift mechanisim came loose and you know the rest.Larry

I just thought of something after posting the above. My MF GC 2300 has a hydro fan on it.It actually bolts onto a hub,its got a pretty big center almost like what the one in your pic shows maybe you could just make a hub and bolt it onto that.Larry
