I had thought I could put refurbing my porch roof until after corn planting. But today I seen my gutter was pulling loose from the edge. The board underneath was shot. So I pulled the gutter, then the rotted wood, and even the first board under the roofing was rotten too. Tomorrow I'll go get the lumber to repair it. The roof metal is shot, and the real reason for all the rotten wood. I will replace it as well when I get time, but for now I may put flashing on the lower end under the metal .

It's been so long you forgot, or weren't a member yet! I started the siding October 2010 and still have yet to finish! I was shocked when I found the old thread to see it's been in the works so long! http://gardentractor...__fromsearch__1

I didn't join until January 2011. Don't worry, you won't start to feel old until you have things you haven't finished that were started before I was born LOL.

Seems like there is always something. Just got back from camp where a list is growing. Plenty of work for all of us.

Dan, where do you find the time?

Daniel you seem to do more in a day than I can sometime find time to do in a month. I sure know all about projects being started and still needing some follow up. I sure hope that this project goes smoothly. Just tackle the problems that need the most attention first.

My wife writes all my projects down on toilet paper sheets. Seems like a good place to get all of your thinking done, right? Well, let's just say, I'm up to 4 rolls of toilet paper, with projects to do, marked on each sheet! Seriously thinking about going back to the old days, of using the newspaper or Sear's and Robuck catalog for the toiletry paperwork!

Daniel at least you didn't find any termites in there. That would be a real heart wrenching find I'm afraid.

Daniel, you need a clone to help you get things done around there! Never ending supply of things to do!
