You may still pass me yet LOL. I have to still order the parts and clean up the engine.
Last time It took 2 weeks to get all the parts in when I ordered some...

Yep, I may pass you up this week. Wife will be at Vacation Bible School every night this week till 9:30 or 10. I'll likely spend most of that time out in the shop if it isn't too hot, and I'm not too tired.

Well, turns out the engine I am rebuilding is also a TR-10D identical to Brian's. I sold one engine off a Bush Hog and it was definitely a TRA and I never looked at the engine ID plate...just took it off & put it away. After painting my engine today I got the plate out, & low & behold it's a TR-10D. I know Bush Hog was good for using whatever available at the time, as this same model tractor could come with the Wisconsin or a HH100 Tecumseh. Now I know they also used TRA &TR engines.

Thanks Brian for all of the posts on your rebuild. The pictures and info are great. All of the information is way beyond me,but will surely be of great help to other members. You and Daniel sound like a surgical team getting ready to operate. Keep up the nice work.

Daniel, Does your engine have the cam witht the compression release?
The TR-10D's originally had no compression release on the cam. If your's has it then someone must have swapped it at some point.

Yes, it has the ACR on the cam. I better check the stroke. Never know what the cover came off!

Got a call from the wisconsin dealer today, and they said all the parts that I wanted are still avaiable, so they have been ordered.
I also got the rest of the sheet metal of the engine cleaned up and degreased.

That's great news! Amazing all parts still available when so many engines of other makes much newer are NLA.

Yeah, its amazing how there are still parts for these engines.
They told me that back in the 70's when the wisconsin's were in their prime, that they had about 5 comming in the shop each week. Now they said they only see a handful a year come in.

They will come! My Wisconsin is running! But, your engine will be back to real work on it's tractor long before mine.
