I'm not much for knowing a lot about Cubs, but the center pulley is wore out on the spindle and I need to get the pulley and maybe a spindle shaft to repair it, the pulley measures 5" across on both mule and spindle pulleys. If you know the part numbers or have a manual for this deck, let me know and we'll get it uploaded in our manual section. Thanks, Brian

You have a 48" deck, they had at least 2 types of bearings in them. One style is called the "Water Pump Bearing" the other type is the "Chevy Wheel Bearing" type.

I have a parts book on it, I'll upload it.

Thanks, I appreciate the help. I measured the deck and it's only 45" all the way across it, so I would think it's a 42". But, I have been wrong before... :wallbanging: :laughingteeth:

If you have the Wheel Bearing type it is easy and cheap to rebuild, if you have the WaterPump type you have to replace the whole assembly.

Manual is up loaded.

The number 482U1111 is a 48", I have the same deck, also most 42" deck i have seen will have 2 holes for the grease fittings, the covers fit both the 38" and 42" decks, the 48" covers only fit the 48" deck.
