I am looking for a smaller tractor to pull my manure spreader while I load it with the Mahindar 45.

This thing is cool and I can't wait to go see it. Read most of the posts here - you guys are very helpful!

He has not sent me a serial number yet - all he has advertised is '14 horse Kohler k321 needs carbuerator'. Told me the shaft is bad and needs a kit. Needs a tire. Something about no battery and battery wiring not right. Has mower and the single plow.

Can you tell what it is?

Thanks

Miami

Welcome to the site! Always room for one more! That is a 1614. (16 inch rear tires, 14 hp engine) It was most likely made between 69-72. Once you get a serial number we will know for sure what year it is. I believe the manual section has a diagram of the wiring that will work for that engine and year, if not, I have a bunch of manuals for these tractors and I think I have one that shows the wiring that will help you. If you can get it for a good price, and dont mind making those repairs it will be a great tractor for you. I truly believe this is the strongest and best build tractor of its size ever made, everybody has opinions so others may disagree but the general vibe of these tractors is very good. Hopefully everything works out with it! Good luck!

 coachmiami! Welcome to GTTalk! Glad to have you here! Best of luck with the PK! Make sure you look it over before you buy. I have a friend who bought one recently and another friend who recommends checking the steering gear for excessive play. He also says that they have a notoriously short clutch throw so be aware of it when you drive it.

Thanks for the welcome.

I emailed him for the serial number. He came back and said "I got it running and decided to keep it." He was asking $700. Bummer.
I'm hooked now. Gotta find one!

700. Would have been a deal for a running tractor of that condition with a deck. If your hooked now, it will be bad once you get one! Lol. good luck with finding another!

I've been searching. Can't find anything for less that $2500!

Out of my league!

Where are you from? If its a late steel body good condition with some attachments that's a fair price actually. Around here it is.

Welcome, and sorry you didn't land that one. It looks almost like mine. These are very rugged and heavy built machines generally worth around $1200-$1800 if in decent shape. Best of luck finding another.

Well - I bought one today. $1200 for a 70's model with a mower deck and a 4 point plow. It runs well. no brakes, small leak for the front of the trans, no pulley on the front... It has been gone through pretty well, and sandblasted and primed. Pick it up tomorrow!

Congrats! I assume its your new avatar? If that's the case it looks like a 79 or later model from what I can see. Get the serial number and we will know for sure. I don't think you did to bad with that one! Those things can be fixed relitivy easy depending on what it needs.
