thought i would show off the cub cadet 72 i have for my almost 3 year old daughter

i bought it as a roller and picked up everything i needed to get it running

i have to still paint the hood seat and wheels i have new custom purple decals for the hood
got the motor in the other night

still more to go but this is my 2nd restoration of a cub

Very nice restoration on both the Cubs, Both my daughters want a pink and puple gt's, so I'm sure I'm going to be doing a couple for them.

cj,the photo of your basket case looks like it has a grey or green color over the yellow.I restored an original with nearly the same color as yours whenever i bought it.that was the tuffist paint I have ever tried to sand off. just wondering if they were painted for a special reason. Mine came out of Ohio. was built in may of 61. you did a great job on both of yours. Woody

They both look REAL good. That Original looks like it gained a few horsepower from new.

the guy that one came from said his kids had som motor on it with a large pulley

it had 18x8 short rear tires on it

i used a wire wheel to strip it down to bare metal

it also had a few pounds of lead melted in to the frame ( for some reason only on one side)

got more done on it

everything is painted and mostly assembled

got to get it running still

i had a helper getting the rear tires on
