What are you good folks useing to keep the throttle from creeping back in while in use.. is there a wayto tighten it up ?? I don't like the vise grip method...

For the lever type, either a new lever assembly, or tighten the pin by using vice grips, or peening with a small hammer to tighten it all up. My favorite throttle assembly is the pull type with the round handle that you twist to lock it firmly in place. Thanks thats the one I have .. and someone told me they wear out quite rapidly and also creep.. Any thoughts ???

I've had them over 30yrs old & still working fine. The only reason I've ever had to order one was when one was rusted solid or missing completely.

I have had a couple of the Locking throttle cables that were worn out when I bought some of my Bolens, but after 45+ years I guess they would be worn out LOL
I dont think they wear out that fast, so spending the $20 and getting a proper replacement cable would be the way to go.
