What would a 1977 MTD 990 be worth here in Nova Scotia?I have found one, the starter/generator has given up the ghost, but other than that it is in really good condition. It has a tiller with it.The guy wants $400 for it.

GREAT deal! The tiller is worth half that or more. Starter/gens are easy to find. New on ebay for around $100.

So your saying $400 is reasonable ,I wasn't sure what one of those was worth.

Yeah that sounds like a good price. I paid $400 for mine last year and all it had with it was the 42" mower deck.

Good luck. I was impressed with my 990 the little bit I drove it before I started taking it apart.

I also drove almost 400 miles round trip to pick up mine.

Well I certainly do seem to have bad luck lately when it comes to tractor deals, now the guy that has the MTD is trying to trade it for a John Deere .So I don't know if I am going to be able to get it or not at this point.:mad2:

The MTD is gone,he traded it for a John Deere.BUT I know where it went, and the guy that has it now is a wheeler and dealer so there still may be hope.
