Those look very nice Don. That's going to be a very sharp looking tractor when you're done!

Looking good! Those new tires are cool and I can see a bit of those plates you used to raise the fenders to clear the tire. Got any close-ups of them?

Today I painted the second coat of yellow and this afternoon I will paint the last coat on the hood. It has been a fun project so far.
This week I purchased another JD for another upcoming 4020 1/2 scale project I have been wanting to build for over 10 years.

Quite a contrast in size there Don, particularly when you realize that those large tires are 1/2 scale for the 4020. I'm sure I speak for many here when I say we are looking forward to the 4020 build.

The tires are taller than most use but I am bigger than most people and i want to be able to fit on it and have fun with it, ha,ha. I have waited 15 years to get my first garden tractor to just play with and now i bought my second one for the 4020 project and i am looking at a second JD 110 round fender garden tractor no. 3 next week. (:>) I turn 60 in May and know it's now or never , ha,ha. My wife is very happy for me because now we can stop looking everywhere for garden tractors and never buying anything, ha,ha.

It's nice that you have that many available to buy. Older JD's are not common at all up here.

I am only interested in the second jd 110 because it is local too here around our town. Here is a new updated progress picture showing the painted seat, fenders , running boards and hood attached for the first time. Now i am putting this aside for a week to finish my other 1/8th scale Cat 390DL Excavator model project. Then the following week i will get back to the 110 . It has been great fun so far.

Today I got the decals in the mail and applied the dash and the hood decals. One step closer to looking great. I also added new rubber handles this evening. one more week I should hear from the mechanic about the engine condition .
