I have a Planet Jr #3, almost complete except for the row marker, K221 (I think), hill sowing star k596, and most needed, the seeding rate controls that mount on the top of the RH handle. I would also like to get a replacement seeds pour, K229. Mine is more bronze and patches than the original cast iron!

My unit is actually branded Rasspe. Nearly all the castings are labeled with Planet Jr numbers but with an additional logo, which is the Rasspe logo. Several parts are cast with a RSxx number, instead of Kxx.

Rasspe was a big company in Germany, at a place called Solingen, hence the part numbers RS, I think.

The only information I can find is an Italian sales brochure. Were they made under licence from Planet Jr, or were they actually making the castings for Planet, as apparently happened for a lot of US product?

The S.L. Allen & Company which made Planet Jr broke up in the late 60's or 70's. I have not been able to research this. In the end the company sold rights to other company's to manufacture their design. Currently Cole Planters has the rights to the Planet Jr No 300 seeder.   Hoss Wheel Hoe and Cultivator has rights to 1 and 2 wheel cultivators currently. There was another company that had the cultivators before them. Will to research Rasspe to see what rights they have.
