Recently I ran across a Craigslist post advertising 6 Cub Cadets and Johnson 10T Workhorse loader. This captured my curiosity and I responded to the advertisement. Doing a bit of math, it looked to be a financially promising opportunity considering that I would sell some of the items.

Last weekend, I met the seller and viewed his equipment. He collects and restores motorcycles, automobiles, and other mechanical things. Over the years he had collected several Cub Cadet models with the intention of restoring them. As time went on, the motorcycles received the attention and the Cubs were left waiting. He decided that he just needed to focus his time and energy on motorcycles only.

There is a ton of stuff for me to bring home and it will take approximately two flatbed trailer loads to get it all. Here is an inventory so far. I don't know the specific years of the tractors, but will investigate this after I bring them home.

Cub Cadet 127 (running)
Cub Cadet 127 (ran recently and was parked)
Cub Cadet 125 (ran 4 years ago and was parked)
Cub Cadet 125 (Repower with Daihatsu 3 cylinder engine - not running)
Cub Cadet 124 (parts - no engine)
Cub Cadet 122 (parts tractor - no engine)

2 Spare engines (need to evaluate the models)

Johnson 10T workhorse loader
Cub Cadet Tiller
New Lawn Boy Tiller
3-point tiller with Briggs and Stratton motor on tiller (running, don't know the brand)
Cub Cadet front blade
2 Haban sickle bar mowers
Brinly Single bottom plow
York rock rake
4 extra decks (some broken)
Aluminum dump cart (no brand)
2 Spare hydrostatic motors
Hydraulic Cylinder and Pump
5 spare generator starters
4-5 spare carburetors
2 new Carlisle AG tires
lots of manuals
lots of extras, belts, chains, headlights, misc parts

I will be making my first trip Saturday morning.

Here are some pictures of the Tractors and implements. The last picture is from a nearby overlook of Whidbey Island and Putget Sound.

Wow Mark! That's a lot of great stuff. I hope you have space to store it all. There's lots of projects there that will keep you busy for a while.

Storage is a true concern. The seller is also including a 10x20 steel frame canopy enclosure in the deal. I can stuff up to 9 GT's inside one and have shelving for parts.

Recently my 9 year old was reading LAGT magazine with me one evening and expressed interest in the Cubs. I asked him if he would like to have one. Of course he said "yes". I hope that he takes interest in the mechanics as we get his running. It could be a great father and son project.
