Ok, I want some input, just got a buyer for the Case 444 (so it is going and my pocket will grow lol). The question is to keep and repair the Case 222 or to sell/trade it for a Ford LGT. Or.. keep it and buy a Ford LGT. Or even sell it and not get a Ford LGT. As soon as I figure out the vote it will be a poll lol.

I think you should sell the 222, not get a ford, and sell your springfields... then devote your life to power kings. Lol! Just kidding, it will be interesting what other people think.

I gave you my vote! You are really brave to do this unless you are going to follow the advice of the poll results. If you don't you could be in for some funnin'!!

:ditto:
This isn't like a National election where we just go by the mudslinging! We need better information to cast an informed vote here :bigrofl:
What's wrong with the 222? What's wrong with the Ford? What is attractive to you about the Ford? Why do you want to get rid of the 222? Inquiring minds want to know!

Casey,
As you know I have irons in this fire. First determine what it is you really want. YOU want, not what someone else decides!!! Next if you have or want a need for a good working tractor there is nothing wrong with the Case. I have one and it is one of my favorites, Fast, powerful robust plenty capable of doing most jobs....Now if YOU like the blue ones, go for it...you don't need anyones approval or input No one is going to think less or more of you if you choose to go with the Case, or the Ford, the thing is do what makes you happy. Is your dog gonna love you more if you Choose a ford? Of course not...All that matters is you are happy.

For some reason you do not like the Case as you do a Ford, there is nothing worse than working on something you don't like. Get the tractor you want more...and work it to perfection, become the 'source' for information on that tractor. You had the 444 and decided to part with it, don't beat yourself up. If you find a Ford that fits your fancy go for it...do the whole consideration. From parts, support etc...if you find one that will fit your skills, and budget...do what YOU want.

Did you find a Ford yet? I now have a 3rd on its way...With all 13 Speedexes, my Wheel Horse, C120 Automatic, Gravely 430 Commercial, Simplicity 5216, and now 3 Fords (125, 145, & 165), Case 224, and my ingersolls, an xc110, 222, 446 and 448, and my new Black Frame 448 (coming :-) )....wanna know my Favorite? My Torq - then the Case Black Frames...To much good, decks, plows, etc they are just well built sound machines..nothing from the Fords, I love the look and they are gonna be real beauts once restored...get one YOU're gonna love to work on, spend your time with and be proud to show to your family and friends...

Good Luck pal...

If it were me,I'd have kept the 444,but that wasn't one of the options you gave us to vote on,but I did vote for one anyway.
