Here are my Bolens. As you can see in my signature, the 1256 needs some help when I get focused with some money. The 1253 runs like a top, but smokes like a chimney.

i like that 1256 looks in nice shape too bad its blown i like the hydro so much both hands on the wheel and the foot control is that much better i have not seen many 1253s out there it sounds like my 750 runs like a top but smoke ... that reminds me of my x wife smoked to much and nagged alot JKJK

I sold the H14 and the tiller for it to help pay for the rebuild of the motor of my Case 446. So, I guess its part Bolens? :bigrofl:

Well, out of the 5 I have...

Here's CloudBurst III, the "Beauty". It's the nicest looking one I have. A 1256-02 with Ez-Vac system.

And CloudBurst IV, the "Beast" AKA "Ole One Eye". Another 1256-02 with Sickle-Mo

OldBuzzard,
I love that EZ Vac! That would look great on my 900! Does it work well? Are they a rare item?

I wouldn't say that they are super rare, more like rareish. They do show up on CraigsList from time to time. EZ-Vac made them for pretty much all of the major GT brands.

As to how it works...

One thing to note. The throttle lock on the 1256 doesn't work well and closed on me early in the vid, which stalled out the tractor. Also the deck needs new/sharpened blades.

OldBuzzard,
Thank you for the video! I'm new to the Bolens world and I know that I am here to stay.

i have not seen many 1256 around here or just let alone hydro bolens tractors i was lucky to find my 1456 the only other hydro i have seen was a 1656 but there are a ton of g tractors around here and i like your front rims LOL i have a set of rims that i am getting widened to take 18/8.50/8 tires but i want to build my 4x4 tractor so thats out in the wind also i want to find a sickle mower for my tractors but let alone its hard to find mower decks up here in ontario and at the JD dealer there is a ez vac and a bolens wheel weight so i may try to negotiate on it if i can get the price right i will buy it cheers
