I picked up a Speedex B yesterday. It's pretty complete but I will need a few things. Oil bath air cleaner for the briggs Z is one of them. If anyone has one of these tractors and can get me some good detailed pictures of the steering lever set up, I would appreciate it. Mine works but needs redone as it's somewhat cobbled up. Maybe even a measurement or two would be great. Thanks.

I'll feel much better when I get this thing running. I tinkered with it a little over the weekend but nothing yet. It sounds good when I pull the rope. I think I will replace the tubing that is the fuel line with some rubber fuel line or the new yellow stuff. Not original but functional. I'll need to put a filter in this one, at least for a while. A new steering set up is in the process of being fabricated so that will be a big thing out of the way. Once I get fire, the stripping and painting can begin. I can't even begin to express the cool factor that goes with this tractor!

Well folks, the old B came to life today. Didn't take much really. Built the fuel line, put it on, put a little gas in and it wanted to start in the first pull! It didn't because I found out (after pulling a dozen or so more times) I had a linkage problem. Got that fixed and she took off on the next pull. I don't have a shut off yet so I let it idle till it was out of gas. What a sweet sound! Next order of business is to get the belts back on right and the throttle hooked up so I can take this beast for a ride!
