I would like to put on a Fall garden tractor plow day sometime in October near Hodgenville, Ky. I would have 50+ acres level to rolling land that GT's could easily plow. It would be where we chopped corn silage, so won't have the large amount of corn stalks like shelling grain corn leaves.
Even subcompacts would be welcome, but if pulling larger plows, they would plow in a separate field from the GT's due to the deeper furrows being a problem for smaller GT's.
This would be my 1st plow day I've ever put on if it does happen, so wanting to get an idea how many might try to make the trip here to plow so I can decide whether there's enough interest.
It would be a simple plow day, and I would have a couple grills set up for some hot dogs & burgers & the like, and hopefully a porta-pot. Maybe a donation jar to offset my expenses. How bout it guys?

I would love to come but just to far, I'm still trying to figure out how I can make the 4hr trip to PA Plow Day this year. Hope it works out, I'd be happy just to see pictures of it. I hope when I retire (if I ever can) I can spend my time traveling to plow day's and show's all over.

I'd love to go to that! I have never been to one and I could always camp out at Bernies place lol. 1st I would have to find a plow though :laughingteeth: I keep searching for a single bottom plow but they are so expensive. I'm sure I will find something before then ( I hope)

Just a bunch of GT guys getting together to turn some dirt! Usually some good eating & socializing as well. This was at KTC Plow Day at GTTalk member BairleaFarm's place in 2010.

That's a great idea. I'd love to go, but I couldn't even give you a close-to-definite answer yet. Would 2 wheelers be welcome?

Daniel, sounds like fun but it's a bit of a drive. I wish you much luck in organizing, don't forget to have fun while you're running the thing.

That would be another reason to head your way, but it is just too far to pull off and that is a shame!!
