just so everyone knows i already had the mower almost apart when i decided to shareit with you guys and doc i'm going to repaint so help me out on the color, won't hurt a thing to have 2 coatswow i'm glad i met you guys. :thumbs:

Are you using a paint gun to do the painting?
What brand of paint are you using?
I know NAPA has some real close paint matches

yes i'm spraying everything been using rustolem with a hardner i buy at tractor supply please advise thanks. :thumbs:

Ok,
if your using rustoleum, you can get that custom mixed. They should have some color charts for you to look at.
Many times if you can bring in an old paint sample , such as a paint chip they can scan it and make up a custom batch of paint for you.
As for the red on the rims, I have found the Regal red is a real close match to the original.

What was the actual color used on the grill of the 1054 ?Is it some sort of brown ? I've never seen a 1054 in person is why I am asking.

Almost all of the 1971 &1972 models had the dark grill

Yeah If you can take a sample of paint from that area I think that would make a good match.

hello fellas i,m biding on the zenith on ebay the bid is at 35.00 now 22 hrs. left i'm thinking 75.00 for my max bid but i don't know that i have a choice give me some input .thanks :thumbs:
