It's reading 50 degrees today so I'm going to clean some parts and get them ready for paint.
The hard rubber tires on the mowers fit so tightly on the rims that I was sure they were molded on.
It was going to be a heck of a job to mask them off for painting.
I unbolted them from the mower unit so I could clean behind them and it ends up that the tires separate from the rims so I lucked out there.
Here's the rims and other brackets from the mowers.

Hard rubber tires and wood rollers.

I set the mower units up on a ladder to keep them off the snow.
The engine is ready for cleaning also.

The rims are set in front of the garage door for cleaning.
Every thing gets a good soaking with degreaser and then I'll spray them off with hot water.

Glad you got the parts cleaned. It'll be good to see the finished product. What are you using for degreaser?

What are you using for degreaser?

I use Purple Power on things like this that are going to be re-painted.
Purple Power will dull paint so I use Simple Green on anything that is finished painted as it doesn't seam to affect the paint.
I don't think the Simple Dreen does as good of a degreasing job though.

The paint is looking good Ray! You'll be makin' hay with them in no time! It's refreshing to know that I'm not the only one who stuffs whatever will fit into all the little holes, nooks, & crannies where you don't want paint LOL! I save all kinds of what my wife calls weird stuff like bottle caps, spray can lids of all different sizes, empty water bottles, etc... Thanks for feeding our addiction to your work Ray!
