Ditto Maynard. It seems like far more Tornadoes earlier than usual. They're instant life-changers. As wide spread as the last wave was its a wonder not more members were affected.

Looks like we have the possibility of more today. Good luck to those in the line of fire.

Daniel,
Glad to hear you and yours came out fine. I was stationed at Ft Knox in April 1974 when a large tornado hit Brandenburg, KY and many people did not fair nearly as well.

Yep, April 3rd, 1974 was a dark day! Tornado's over several states & many lost their lives.
Storms rolled through here just before 5AM this morning & knocked out phones & internet, and cable TV. More rolling through now & some expected to be rough. No warnings out for my spot yet, but warnings in southern Indiana & Somerset, Ky area. Have a thunderstorm headed toward me that should be here in a short while. Not dangerous at this time though.

You could always try to borrow a tank from Ft Knox for a shelter. I remember several times being on one of the tank live fire ranges and everyone having to get into the tanks and close the hatches because of tornado warnings. Not much going to move a 52 ton tank. :smilewink:

Just had a line move through. Wind and hail was the worst it had. However south of us there was a funnel cloud spotted.

Hail was marble and pea sized.

Glad you are doing OK Chuck. I agree with your earlier post about building a shelter. I don't think that I would be without one if we lived in that part of the country. Course we have had some tornadoes here in PA, but nothing as destructive that hit in your area and Daniels. Here's hoping that everyone stays safe.

Glad you came through ok Chuck!
Nothing here yet, but it'll come later, just as I should start chores. Chores will either start early or late today, depending on conditions. We do have gusting winds, but no storms as yet.

Very windy here too, but no bad weather as of yet. Unfortunately the sun is out & the temps are climbing... Never a good thing this time of year
I hope everyone gets thru this afternoon & tonight safely!

Figured I would check in while waiting. We are ne of nashville, so in line for some bad weather later today. Lucilly, we have a stout basement and have the essentials stacked by the basement door "just in case"

Hope everyone in peril makes it through through today ok!
