Thanks guys. I lean more toward taking them out myself. Had they been in my Deere engine when I rebuilt it, I was planning to remove them. I know most of the performance builders pull them out.

Anyway, may chime in with more questions as they come up, and will post a new thread with pictures and progress when I get around to putting this all back together.

Look on the bracket the gas tank is attached too!! On my 73 lgt 145 thats where the engine HP sticker is, 14 hp is a 145 , 16 hp would be a165.

Looks to be a '72-'76 LGT 165, but I've been wrong before.

Indeed....a well optioned hydro model with headlights and the adjustable two piece seat. Well done.
