Well, I dragged another one home! It has a few issues, but I think they'll be easy enough to fix.

The right front wheel bearings are shot, The Kohler K-241S runs but smokes a bit (quite a bit actually), The carb will need gone through, the hydrive system is empty due to a leak that I believe is a bad hydraulic hose. The mower deck is mostly solid, but there's a couple of thin spots along the front and a spot where the belt wore through the top. It has 2 newer spindles on it, but the third is in need of some attention. All in all the sheet metal is in great condition and I think it will fix up pretty nice for a 25 year old machine. The P.O. was using it to cut grass until last fall and it's gonna get a good pressure washing before I do anything else!

Also, I have 2 Case 200 series front wheels (wheels only) I could sell you if you want them. The Case / Ingy front wheels have a longer thru bore than all other brands.

Yes, I did get a good deal on it. I plan to fix it up and sell it, but likely wont make a lot on it.

Too rich for my blood Casey! I can't afford yours LOL!

That I may take you up on if I get into it and find that the wheel is too damaged from the bearings being bad. I've run into that problem before. PM me with a price.

Looks pretty good Steve! Now if you could buy a Case cheap, and sell it for how much Casey has wraped up in his you could donate $100 to GTTalk and still make a profit! Our buddy Casey has some luck,LOL! Shawn

That is a pretty good looking little Case. Being the 25th anniversary and having the full fenders she should also have the built in holding valve TVC. Nice score.

Thanks for all the kind words! I know next to nothing about them despite the user name LOL. I will likely be looking to a lot of you for guidance. Hopefully I wont get myself upside down in it, but I also wont skimp on the repairs.

It's not hard to get upside down on these things. The 10hp in the 220 is really only powerful enough for mowing and doesn't command near as much as the larger horse power models. They are nice little mowers though.

But I'm one of the evil tractor salvagers that sees the value a different way.
As a side note just the TCV with holding valve has been bringing about $250 lately.

Nice tractor, Steve! Nice to hear it has been used not long ago. That helps a lot in finding what all is wrong with it. Good Luck!
