I have a Planet Jr. B8-G that I supposedly sold on eBay in November, but the guy has not picked it up. I am giving him a little longer, then will eBay it again.

You don't see many with the hoods. I suppose that was the first item to go when there was trouble. I'm thinking that was also about the last of the line as far as their tractors went.

Second to the last. Last had a reverse gear B8-GR. Love to have for my collection, but shipping over 3200 miles costs to much.

Thanks Ted

I've neveer seen that tool bar set up on a Tuffy, or any planet Jr that I can remember. Is the seeder PJr too? Is it still in original condition or has it been repainted?

I think they did have a decal on the engine but I can't see it good enough in the picture to tell. That's what made me wonder about original paint. They also had a decal on the gas tank that was like a globe in clouds.

Iron Age was a differnt company, the name your looking for is Iron King. iron King seeders were mostly rear wheel chain drives, most used a round hopper, but i have seen some with that oval shaped one. Your drawbar looks to be weld together which wouldnt be the norm for Planet or Iron King stuff. I beleive the seeder unit was put together from a King seeder, a King Straddle row wheel hoe and some other bits of metal to connect it to the tractor. The seeder would be a lot older than the tractor unit. I was looking thur my Planet stuff but couldnt find the correct book with a picture of the seperate units. Looks like an interesting item.

Tractor is a Super Tuffy with a Briggs 6S engine made in the 50's. The seeder appears to be a newer Iron Age usually chian drive to the front wheel. The older Iron Age seeders had a cast iron lid on hopper.

The center unit appears to made to attach the 2 units. Planet Jr wheels usualy has a single row of spokes in the center of the wheel. The Iron age seeders did have have this type of wheel.

I believe that the decal is different, someones sells a decal saying Super Tuffy on ebay.

S.L. Allen "Planet Jr" Model HT. Made in the late 30's to late 40's. Has Toro MH engine 4 hp. Looks like 3 Model 300 or 300A seeders attach.

I don't remember if that was an HT or an FT. I saw the tractor at Portland swap. It all depends what size handiman. It wouldn't be as big as the one with the 2 speed and reverse but I'd say it would be comparable to my 36. It might be a litle narrower but I think its taller.

Yes Doug it was at the Portland swap. A friend got it and I thought it was worth showing here.
