I have a 1958 ride a matic and I haven't been able to find any pictures of what this decal is. Does anyone have a picture or know what this is supposed to look like? This is located on the left rear corner of the footboard. I didn't even know it was there until I washed the ol tractor down for the first time in decades!

Thanks

I don't know? I can't make enough out of it to tell what it once was before age took over. I added a few more pictures.

Looks like the decal that's on the chain guard of my '57 super ride-a-matic.

(Correct me if i'm wrong) - the '58 ride-a-matic doesn't have a chain guard because of the floor pan it has that the '57 doesn't?

I don't recall in my travels seeing that HI-LO decal on a '58 but then again, i've never seen two identical ride-a-matic's from these early years! ha!

Sorry for the poor quality of the pictures - taken with my phone - the top reads ''remove cover and interchange sprockets for HI-LO" The bottom reads "See owners manual for use and adjustments"

Hope this helps!

-Sam

It appears to be factory painted. It's not a sticker.

I really think that is the decal. You are right, the floor pan replaced the chain guard. Thanks for the picture!

Perhaps - Wouldn't surprise me. I'd sure like to meet the fella who was in charge of putting the decals on these things at the factory!

If you find a new one - let me know where - I'm missing this one! (currently restoring my '57)

A couple more pics. If you look at the 2nd picture you can make out the word "lo" by the screwdriver tip and see two gears.
