Trust me, the majority love the pic of the pretty lady but we do have to stay consistent since we are a family oriented forum and do have some younger folks on here.

Great deal on the Case 448. Hopefully it turns out to be a little bit of elbow grease to get it running again.

Nice find!

Check compression first, if you have compression on both cyls then change the oil, other wise it is a mute point...

Ok. Can somebody tell me what the "member map" is? I don't get alot of seat time here at the computer with my work and all.
No, i'm not on the member map. I'll do some digging.

I have only come across 2 Case 448's here in our neck of the woods. One two years ago i tried to buy by the guy knew there was no way he could replace it. The other is the one i just picked up that was on Kijiji!! Was a young guy that was asking 200 buck. I said, if i come right now would you take 150 for it?
And that my friends is how i came to own this work of art. Now i have to go get you guy's some pics!!!

Here are a few pics you have all been waiting for!
case 448 001.JPG case 448 003.JPG case 448 002.JPG case 448 004.JPG case 448 005.JPG case 448 006.JPG case 448 008.JPG

It was hard to get a pic of the tag.[ This is the model number, 448 (of course) but there is an 82 after it. Does this mean it's a 1982??
The vin is as follows 14029188.

She's a little rough looking around the edges. I'd love to find one of those.

Where in Nova Scotia are you from?

It is a little rough, but for 150 you cant beat that! Especially with the blade! Even if you just used this to plow your driveway you could get your money out of it pretty fast.

mf14a, if you don't already know, one of the biggest mistakes people make with these tractors is using the wrong stuff in the hydraulic system. These use motor oil, not hydraulic fluid or ATF. Most of us run 15w-40 as it is generally a little more available than 20w-50 in some areas. Thanx for changing your avatar, I appreciate it, I hope it didn't cause any hard feelings. Feel free to ask questions about the tractor, lots of good people here and someone will be able to help.

Thanks for the info. I will use hydraulic fluid. Although, you say ATF will not harm the system? I'm sure i will have many questions do to the fact this is a new breed of GT for me. Thanks to everyone now for all the help.
