I have a guy who will maybe part with a 3 point set up for a QT-16. I've been looking for a while and I know they are hard to come by. With that said, I still don't want to pay too much for it... what do you guys think?

Can't help you in the cost dept., but that is a cool looking hitch. Hope you can get it. Not even sure how hard these are to come by. Good luck, and thanks for the pic.

Its hard to say what its worth as I don't recall seeing a 3pt hitch for sale for a Q series tractor in quite some time....
I'd definitely buy it if the price is reasonable

Not sure on what one would cost, but I would think that it would take a couple hundred bucks to buy and build one yourself. So, I think if you can get it for less then 200.00 complete, you would be safe.

Lol, loaded question there, in all fairness, its only worth what someone is willing to pay. So if Brian is willing to pay $200 for it, well then that's what it is worth.

I would rather give less than 100.00 for it, but I have seen other Bolens 3Pt's go for more then 200.

So, basically , start low and work your way to an agreement, but try not to insult him with a low ball price, a little reasearch always helps, even if its not the exact same , it should get you in the ball park. Good luck ay any rate.

Well, it's the factory 3 point and looks like he has a draw bar on it. All my implements are sleeve hitch and I would need a conversion hitch for that. Also my tiller won't work with this and I'd have to take it off, but would still like it for the cool effect and then I could add other 3 point Cat 0 implements.

I offered him $200, he countered with $400. I only paid $800 for my tractor with new Onan 16 hp with oil filtration, snow plow, mower and tiller. I can't go that high... I did just buy a 1 row planter for the tractor which is also sleeve hitch. This is an awesome tractor... if I wouldn't have dropped the coin for the brinly 1 row, maybe...

he's calling it a GT 16... but it looks exactly like my qt-16... so I'm assuming he is just wrong :laughingteeth: . He thinks the tractor is worth upwards of $1500 with plow, mower and tiller and 3 point.... but you have to take the 3 point off to use the tiller.... I tried to reason with him...

here's a link to the add (at the risk of losing it to somebody else...
