hello yall , long time no see , i've been really busy lately , but anyhow i'm planing to sell a few of my GTs this spring and would like opinions of which of these two tractors should go , tractor (1) around 1978 ford lgt 125 closed sided ,manual attachment lift , transaxle seemed to work fine , but will need a compleat engine rebuild as of it has a pretty bad knock and smokes pretty good , (2) a 1975 lgt 145 , hydro attachment lift , i believe the tranaxle may have a leak , but seemed to work fine , engine did run good last time i had it running , but will need the grill repaired , heres some pics ofthe two tractors , thanks for any opinions

Well, I would keep the 145 and let the 125 go. If a new engine is in it's future and the other one has only minor issues, that's what I would do and why.

Good luck with your downsizing.

Put them both up for sale and when one sells keep the other.

That's a good idea.

I dont know that the transaxles are like in these but if they are the same I would take the swap the two and sell the 125. If it needs an engine, somebody will probably buy it for a restoration or parts tractor. If they restore it they can replace the seal, if they want the parts then hopefully they dont need the transaxle. That way you keep a good tractor.

Wish you where closer I would buy either one as I want one in that vintage, and like to restore them.
