you guys and your diesel repowers... wish I had an old cub to do that to. I would use a gear drive though. They seem more stout to me. Then again the only hydro I ever had was an old cub 129...

Hey Aint nothin to it but to do it! Get after it!

Haha Yeah i didnt like it either. Still need to find a rubber hose to connect the intake to the air cleaner but what i have will do for now.  I dont know how many times ive done something and hated the way it was. The 1250 will have the clear precleaner bowl through the hood if i ever get around to finishing it.

Mine is made with a pin and a bolt that has a wing nut so you can remove the air cleaner assembly quickly if you need to work on something

Modified hydro linkage. Had to  make a new bushing for the pedal shaft and added a grease fitting.

Works pretty well and hopefully it will provide years of service.

Well last weekend i got the tractor 90% wired. Just need finish the headlights, tail light and hour meter i added.  installed a temp gauge and a voltmeter. The low oil  pressure light and hydro temp warning light are hooked up.  I picked up a deck for it and  mowed the grass a few times already.   Ill run it a while longer and if i dont have any issues ill tear it down for body work and paint.  Unfortunately ill be gone for at least 3 weeks for work so its going to have to wait.

Can the oil pan on that engine just be unbolted and replaced with the standard metal pan? Something I've wondered about. I was offered several of these units out of small portable AC units. I'm not sure of the brand but He's very interested knowing if I could find a use for them as they are just in his way. The oil pan was my only concern.
Daniel I believe the engine in your G4200 is a Z430. I have two of those tractors. 12 hp.

I had one out of a reefer with the oversized pan... You can buy other pans for it.  In a moment of weakness (and to help clear out my garage) I sold it.  Now I wish I had it back.

Any info on those you were offered??--price, location, etc.  I'd be interested in one.
