She's running great, plus a great job mowing. Best of both worlds.....diesel, plus foot control hydro!

Well with the nice weather came my motivation. I didnt like the little radiator i had in there even though it never overheated while running it this winter so i bought a radiator originally for this engine that came in the G4200. I moved the engine back another 1 1/2" so i had a little more room.

ALso replaced the front gear cover since the last one cracked the dynamo bracket off. Just ordered a new water pump, regulator and some control cables for the throttle and fuel shut off.   Ill post some pictures when i get a chance.

Heres where im at as of last weekend. I had it running again with the bigger radiator and couldnt resist turning up the fuel a little.  Still need to do the wiring, air cleaner, hydro control rod, 3 point hitch and some other little things but i was able to drive it around again.  Ill probably use it for a few months to make sure everything works properly then tear it down for paint

Frank, did you also get the pull-out radiator screen for the G4200 radiator?  They sure help immensely to keep the radiator cores clean.

No the screen did not come with it but i do plan on sliding one back in there. I made sure to clean all the debris from the radiator with compressed air and water before installing it

you guys and your diesel repowers... wish I had an old cub to do that to. I would use a gear drive though. They seem more stout to me. Then again the only hydro I ever had was an old cub 129...

Haha Yeah i didnt like it either. Still need to find a rubber hose to connect the intake to the air cleaner but what i have will do for now.  I dont know how many times ive done something and hated the way it was. The 1250 will have the clear precleaner bowl through the hood if i ever get around to finishing it.
