that is the ugliest yellow I have ever seen

I beg your pardon. That just happens to be one of the best looking yellow's I have ever laid my eyes on :)
68 Corvette Safari yellow is almost exactly the same color. I painted my 66 formula S Barracuda that same color.
Had lots of compliments too. PURDY as they come.

I looked high and low for a local source of the Elec-Trak yellow because I didn't want to special order the Trinidad yellow all the time. I tell you, yellow just looks cool on a tractor. I have only 2 yellow GTs but both of them are my best ones (will be after I repair the E20). They seem to be the toughest in my fleet. I guess I am just fond of that Elec Trac yellow, couldn't use CAT yellow, already have a Caterpillar lol.

Beauty is certainly in the eye of the beholder.

I love the MM yellow, Cub Cadet and John Deere yellows, but I can't warm up to that GE yellow.

Funny, I like Caterpillar yellow, GE yellow, and for the life of me can't warm up that the dreadful Deere yellow LOL. But in all fairness, I can't stand the Deere green either lol. Funny thing is that the John Deere industrial models are the only ones I think look good. :bigrofl:

Casey, glad you found a match... sorry it was that color.

I painted my 75 Dodge Coronet Aztec Gold... my wife called it Baby Poop Brown.
Some colors have a far away look, look better the further you are from them.

Eye of the beerholder is right... Um, beholder, whatever.

And getting a car repainted at a shop, is going to get real expensive. In North Bay, a town of about 60,000, a couple hrs from
me, all the shops have been closed down. Between the fire department, and Labour dept, they have impossed such
ridiculously stringent regs, no one can afford to be in business.

So, what have they accomplished.
Guys will start up backyard shops working for cash.
And/or, cars will not be fixed, and kept alive. They'll get scrapped. And we'll buy made in china cars.

That is what they want us to do now. buy new throw out the old. ( they can keep the free bag of rice I ain't hungry) :p

Automotive paint has gone clear out of sight!!! Seems like nowadays, a quart costs more than I used to give for a full gallon! And some colors (reds) are MUCH more than others!!!
I usually buy reducer in bulk, so the price is not as bad, but dont buy more paint than I need.

I usually buy my primer at walmart. It's $1-$1.50 a can cheaper then everywhere else i look.I get the rustoleum auto primer.I don't make a special trip for it but if we're going there i usually grab a couple of cans. The massey paint i got a month ago was up to over $9 a spray bomb.I forget the exact price. Then we were at the hardware srtore to get fasteners, now they have the ag specialty paint in massey red for a little over $4 a can.Last time we were looking for massey red in ag paint they didn't have it..What a diff.

Glad you found the color you needed, yep just like most everything else, costs more than it should.

Now back too that color...................

Granted I am color blind, and have a different view of as well as a difficult memory of colors than most of you do, in my own personal opinion, but that looks like what I remember calling "calf poop green" when I worked on the farm. :poke: :bigrofl:

Oh and a side note CONGRATS on 3000 posts
