OK, I'd like to nominate my 1970 Bolens Husky 1053.It's not pretty, but just waiting for restoration.I don't have any history with this tractor as I just got it a couple week ago.It came from New Hampshire.I got a friend to go down and pick it up for me.It runs and everything works.I have the mower deck for it,It just wasn't on when I took the picture.

100_2469..jpg This is my pride and joy and workhorse. I got this for free from a former teacher and fixed it up. I'd like to nominate it because it is a real workhorse and hasn't let me down yet.

I wasn't gonna put anything in this month, but "Workhorses" are showing up, so I'll throw in my now 1855 Massey! Started as a 1655, then I rebuilt a B48G 18HP Onan. Put my FEL over onto it, so it's a dedicated loader tractor to clean barns with. A true workhorse if ever there was one. Loaded rear tires & about 240lbs cast hanging off the frame rear.
I installed power steering using JD318 orbital & cylinder.

Since it seams to be the month of workers here is my Ford.

My grandpa bought this Ford LGT 145 new. A few years after he passed away and when I got married and needed a mower I was given the ford. I used it to mow for a few years and now it's my work horse. It gets used to pull thing, plow the driveway in the winter, I plowed the garden with it this spring and it did a great job.

Chuck, it's neat that you have your Gramp's tractor. I have my Gramps Minneapolis Moline Avery tractor. He bought it new in 1951, so next year it'll have been in the family for 60 years! Ole Blue is pulling ahead of the rest of us!

Ole Blue is what we call it. Eventually I hope to have grandpa's Ford Jubilee, but dad isn't done with it yet. Also hoping to get my other grandpa's case 444.

That Ford is nice! Incidentally, Ford is our feature for September. You showing that Ford at any tractor shows?

Thank you. I need to get signed up so I can get the issue with the Ford featured in it. Depending when our 2nd kid (wife is due Sept 12th) gets here I may try to take it Antique Power days in Salem, IL (runs Sept 10th thru 12th). They are featuring Jacobsen Lawn and Garden tractors and Jacobsen made Lawn and garden tractors this year.
