thats just it, they were right side up when i view them on my computer. i'll try again with new photos from tonight. thanks.

Are these taken with a phone camera? Are you using that software to view? Maybe your kids can help show you how to get them to show up right.

Welcome to GT TALK. The guys here are some of the greatest on the net. The trick for getting a steering wheel off a cub is this. Carefully pry the center cap off the steering wheel and then take the nut off. It should be a thin nut so you need to get yourself a nut that is the regular thickness as well as a bolt about 2-3 inches long. The nut is a fine thread and I believe 3/4 inch. Thread the thick nut on the steering column halfway and then thread the bolt down into the nut and tighten it down against the steering column shaft. The next part may be harder without the fenders on. Sit yourself down on the seat with your feet on the footrest's and your knees under the steering wheel and push up on it from the bottom. Now get yourself a good sized short handle sledge and while pushing up with your knees on the bottom of the wheel give the bolt a couple good whacks. It should pop after a few good hits. I have used this method on all of my steering wheels and it has never failed me yet. The great advantage to it is its fairly easy and it causes no damage to the wheel or steering column and when done right should have the wheel off in ten minutes or less. Good luck.

i removed the steering wheel. it was a 5/8 ths fine thread nut. that trick worked like a charm.

the trans gear selector is'nt moving. i just sprayed it all down, i dont want to break the shifter....any tricks? half the problem is i havnt really wrapped my head around how this hydrostat trans works. i printed all the manuals that are available on this site. it took me a week to free up the brake pedal. it was parked with the brake lock on. also how do i become a supporter? anyone have a link? thanks.

Mine was rattle canned, I think it came out pretty good. I believe it is caterpillar yellow and then krylon white. If done properly it comes out great.

Thanks. I'll be wet sanding in between coats so I hope it comes out nice. Going to try and prime the parts tonight.

sounds good...post pictures, everyone around here loves pictures. i wound up brush paint the sheetmetal cat yellow. i have two coats sanding in between and today i'll wet sand with 1000 grit and finish coat. i'm surprised at how nice its coming out. the rims i spray painted white. i had everything sand blasted, i think that makes a huge difference. i'm going to yank the motor today and prep the frame and rear for paint.
just curiosity what color is your engine? mines black. i've seen them yellow and i've seen them black. i think mines original. good luck.
